Schools Safeguarding's first ANNUAL SAFEGUARDING CONFERENCE a full day event bringing together experts and colleagues in safeguarding roles

About this event

The team at Schools Safeguarding Ltd are delighted to announce the release of tickets to our first ANNUAL SAFEGUARDING CONFERENCE. This amazing CPD and networking opportunity will be held on Wednesday 1st July 2020 at the Barton Grange Hotel in Preston.

The conference, which we hope will be the first of many, will bring together experts in the field of safeguarding and colleagues who work in safeguarding roles in schools. It will be an opportunity for you to hear about best practice and how you can improve the safeguarding provision in your school.

It is a full day event which will start with a welcome from the founder of Schools Safeguarding, Andrea Glynn, who will share her experiences and success stories from working in safeguarding roles in schools for the past 20 years. There will then be 3 speakers over the course of the morning:

Janet Crossley / Schools Safeguarding - How we Protect Children from being Radicalised

Carol Carson / AIM Project - Managing Sexualised Behaviour in Schools

Aidan Brierley / Inspirational Class Teacher - Promoting Mental Wellness in the Classroom

After lunch (included in ticket price) there will be opportunities for you to break off into workshops. All workshops will be practical and interactive, equipping you with the skills and resources to take action back at school. Choose 3 from the following:

1. Risk Assessing and Managing Sexualised Behaviour in school

2. Prevent Duty Risk Assessment and Action Planning

3. Practical Tips for creating a classroom for mental wellness

4. Getting the best out of CPOMS

5. Creating a culture of supervision in your school
