As we tell you tales from distant lands"
Join our story-collecting explorers in their tent as they take shelter from the cold outside and tell you tales from the deep of winter. Snowy fables, winter songs and heart-warming stories that will help you warm up and a cold winter's day.

1pm Show - Relaxed Performance - Autism Friendly
Our 1pm relaxed performance is for all families but the performance environment will be adapted to ensure that it is more accessible for people with autism. This means that: there will be a tolerance of certain levels of noise and movement by any audience member there will be a quiet room provided there will be directional signage with images to indicate the use of each room in the library the performance space will be free of clutter and will have low lighting the performers will ensure that the audience are aware of any changes in the show before they happen we will have a number of ear defenders for use available at the library counter but please bring your own in case we are short. Would you like to visit the library before the performance day? Come and meet librarian Joanne Duffy from 5pm on Thursday 23rd November and she will welcome you and your family and guide you around the space prior to your return for the performance in December. If you can't make this date please call the library to ask about visiting another time on 01744 677885. If you have any other requirements then please let us know. For the performance please feel free to bring your own blankets, cushions to sit on, and ear protectors and a bottle of water if needed. We look forward to welcoming you!
