Our next Answer Cancer Stakeholder Collaborative will be taking place on Thursday the 20th of November 2025 from 9.30am -11.30am at Eccles Town Hall

The Answer Cancer Get Together (Stakeholder Collaborative) is a fantastic way to hear updates about cancer screening across Greater Manchester. You’ll hear examples of best practice and be able to speak to Answer Cancer Champions and staff. This is a face-to-face event. Registration will take place from 09.30am to 9.45am when the event starts, tea and coffee will be provided, and we plan to finish by 11.30am

· Hear from one of our grantees about their work around Breast Cancer Awareness

· Find out how Answer Cancer staff can help and support your work

· Network! We will be holding stalls during the event, a great networking opportunity

We particularly want to invite Cancer Champions and Voluntary Sector organisations, but anyone with an interest in cancer screening, cancer prevention and early detection is welcome.

Answer Cancer is the working name of the Greater Manchester Cancer Screening Engagement Programme. It is a voluntary sector partnership working to improve cancer awareness and increase uptake of cancer screening across Greater Manchester.

Getting here and parking

Eccles Town Hall is situated in the heart of Eccles and is extremely easy to get to.

Tram: Eccles Tram Terminus is about 100 yards from Eccles Town Hall. When you get off the tram walk through the Bus Station continue walking and as you pass the Duke of York pub you will see Eccles Town Hall next to it on the left.

Bus: Eccles Bus Station is well served by buses from all over Greater Manchester. When you get off the bus, walk through the Bus Station away from the tram stop, continue walking and as you pass the Duke of York pub you will see Eccles Town Hall next to it on the left.

Car: Eccles Town Hall’s Post Code is M30 0LH. The Hall is only a short distance from the Eccles exit (junction 2) on the M602.

Coming from Manchester turn left at the end of the slip road off Exit 2 and keep in the right hand lane. Just before the third set of traffic lights filter to the right and follow the sign for “Superstore”​ (Bentcliffe Way)​. Go across one traffic island and you will see Morrison’s on your right hand side.​ Go straight on at the roundabout (still on Bentcliffe Way) at the lights turn right and the car park is just after the ECCLES LEISURE CENTRE building​. SAT NAV postcode M30 0DD. Parking is free after 6pm. ​ECCLES TOWN HALL is on the corner of Irwell Place and Church Street.​ There is an open gateway giving access from the car park onto Irwell Place and if you look up Irwell Place towards Church Street you will see a ramp which will get you into our premises.

Coming from the M60 take junction 2 exit on the M602 and go three-quarters round the island at the top of the slip road. Then follow the directions as above.

Irwell Place Carpark (next to Eccles Leisure Centre) 79 spaces plus 6 disabled. £3.50 for over 2 ½ hours, applies Monday to Saturday 8am-6pm. Free after 6pm and all day Sundays. Pay machine.

Morrisons Carpark. Maximum 90 minutes free. Beyond 80 minutes, pay online via Euro Car parks (ecpparkbuddy.com, location ID 681456). Can pre-book on-line. Typical charge £2 for 24 hours.
