Our Workshops

Whether you're expecting your first baby or are a more experienced parent this workshop is perfect for you. Our in person sessions give you the opportiunity to have a practical discussion about infant feeding and meet other local parents/parents to be.

This workshop is for people living in Telford & Wrekin and covers all aspects of infant feeding, including establishing breastfeeding and safe formula feeding. We will also look at the benefits of skin to skin, responsive feeding, understanding normal baby behaviour, the benefits of breastfeeding, breastmilk collection and support that is available to you and your family.

Support partners are welcome, and encouraged to attend this session. It should last approx. 2.5 hours and will include a comfort break. Please ensure that you 5-10 minutes before is scheduled to start as we will be startimg promptly.

The workshop is suitable for antenatal families, if you baby arrives prior to the session please let us know and we can signpost you to the most effective and appropriate support

These sessions have been funded under the Family Hubs project with Telford & Wrekin Council and open to anyone living within Telford & Wrekin. The information you enter on the booking form will be used for reporting purposed for the Telford & Wrekin Council.

Can my partner/mum/friend attend?

Yes, we welcome you to have a support partner with you. It's a great opportunity for them to learn more about infant feeding too. Simply add on a partners tickets when reserving your place.

Do you only talk about breastfeeding?

No, this workshop provides information on infant feeding not just breastfeeding. We cover what to expect from your baby, how to recognise different feeding cues, the importance of responsive feeding and sterilising equipment.

Will there be a chance to ask questions?

Yes, this is an interactive session so actively encourage you to ask questions during the session and afterwards.
