A very geeky talk covering an Anthology of Gin for London Cocktail Week.
While we’ve abridged, condensed but by no means diluted its story - this tasting will lead you on a journey to discovering the complexities of Gin and its chequered history.
During the night, we will be tasting 4 different gins and a few cocktails all hosted at The Whisky Exchange & Forgotten Hospitality's pop-up on 55 Neal Street, Covent Garden WC2H 9PJ for London Cocktail Week
Each will outline a moment in the journey through time that has seen the transformation of the humble juniper berry into a much-loved drink. From a medicine to the delightful spirit, Genever, to the influence of the Navy and their unique style, alongside Old Tom Gin and onto what we know it as today, now reduced to two intoxicating monosyllables: Dry-Gin.
