To celebrate the end of our first All World History, All Year Round school year, we'll be hosting an evening of poetry, discussion, food and music at the amazing Skip Garden in King's Cross (Tapper Walk, N1C 4AQ) on Thursday 28th July.
We'll be joined by award winning poet, writer, playwright and educator, Anthony Anaxagorou, who is our newest All World History champion. He'll be performing some of his thought provoking poetry and leading a discussion on the need for a more creative and inclusive curriculum and the important role of poetry within education. We welcome contributions and are hoping for a lively discussion, as well as some poetry performances from local young people we work with. Not to be missed!
There'll also be vegan African Caribbean food, raw vegan cakes by Nanabean and music from KMT The Freedom Teacher - the highly acclaimed DJ and educator who delivers the Love Music, Hate Racism training programme for The National Union of Teachers and has been engaging our Islington students in Hip Hop History workshops all year.
Event is from 6:30 - 9:30pm. Anthony will perform from 7pm
