For our first environmental film night we're excited to be bringing you Princess Mononoke, a 1997 classic from legendary Japanese animation studio Studio Ghibli.
Directed and written by Studio Ghibli legend Hiyao Miyazaki (who, side note, has just announced his return from retirement for one last feature film - huzzah!), Princess Mononoke follows Ashitaka on his quest to find the cure for a Tatarigami's curse, leading him into the midst of a war between the forest gods and Tatara, a mining colony. The magical watercolour animation, like most other Ghibli works, explores the mystical and spiritual relationship between man and nature.
If all this Trump Paris Agreement hooplah is getting you twisted, come along and share your thoughts in good company. Plus, winter is fast approaching and it's christmas soon so it's the perfect excuse to come in to Out of the Brew for a drink or a cuppa.
Ticket does not guarantee entry so please arrive early.
