About this event

Following excellent feedback from our members about Janice Gittens’s talks at our 2024 gathering and CPD workshop in early 2025, this workshop is now available to all members of EoLDUK.

This anti-racism workshop moves beyond personal beliefs to examine the deeper systems that sustain inequality.Participants will unpack how racism operates historically and in the present day—through institutions, policies, and cultural norms. The session provides a critical look at the historical context that shapes current racial dynamics and disparities, with a focus on how power, privilege, and both conscious and unconscious bias contribute to ongoing marginalisation.

You’ll learn to recognise the role of power dynamics, unconscious bias, and systemic inequity in your interactions with clients and caregivers, and how that can impact your relationships. The workshop will enable you to foster equity in your professional practice and in the broader community.
