About this Event

In 2014 the UK government estimated that antimicrobial resistance would become the world’s greatest killer by 2050 and cut global GDP by 3.5%, a cumulative cost of £70bn unless a new generation of effective antibiotics are developed.

Professor Sir Sam Everington – seeking to get antibiotic guardianship on the social prescribing agenda

Professor Peter Borriello – Chief Executive Officer, Veterinary Medicines Directorate examining the world of animal health

Professor Mark Fielder – Professor of medical microbiology Kingston University and currently the President of the Society for Applied Microbiology

Dr Peter Jackson – Executive Director AMR- the UK’s translational R&D centre focused on antimicrobial resistance
