Anxiety in children and young people is on the increase. Currently, 1 in 6 suffers from debilitating anxiety. In this workshop, you will learn what is happening in the body and the brain when anxiety is experienced. What strategies can be used to help and how can parents help implement them. Facilitated by a registered BACP Child & Adolescent therapist with 10 years of experience in the mental health field.

Helen is trained to degree level in Person-Centred Therapy and postgraduate in CBT. A published author and Top rated blogger on Teenage mental health and parenting.

This workshop is limited to 12 people for the benefit of each teenager/parent. You will learn

What is happening in the body and the brain when anxiety is experienced.

What type of anxiety the person is suffering from.

CBT techniques and tried and tested strategies to alleviate anxiety.

Learn what ways you can help your teenager in distressing times without the teenager experiencing it as intrusive.

This workshop will go beyond the theory of the anxiety model to equip you with skills that are realistic and can be applied in everyday life.
You will be able to help your teenager with their anxiety, without upset and frustration.
