Description

Aon Pride Presents - Friday 13 Fabulously Frightening:

On Friday 13 October join Aon Pride for a double feature that’ll expand your mind, and then scare you out of it!

Movie 1: The Danish Girl

Starring Eddie Redmayne as Elbe, one of the first known recipients of sex reassignment surgery. FilmDebate credited The Danish Girl as the 'most important film of 2015', stating that 'This is not only the best movie of the year, but it is the most important. The story and performances come together in the truest of ways to make a film that the whole world needs to see and get behind.

Marie Asner of Phantom Tollbooth said "the acting is what makes this film", Damien Straker of Impulse Gamer writing that "two commanding performances give it a gripping emotional weight that is very affecting". Redmayne's performance was described as "revealing, heartbreaking and believable" by Linda Cook of Quad-City Times.

Movie 2 : Drag me to Hell

Embracing autumn and in the run up to Halloween, our second feature is “Drag me to Hell”. Co-written and directed by Sam Raimi – featuring projectile nose-bleeds, a demonic goat and cursed buttons.

Variously described as a “hellaciously effective B-movie” “ a sometimes funny and often startling horror movie” and just as “plain old scary fun” this promises to be a film that stays with you!

bring your friends or come along and make some new ones - drinks, popcorn and brownies will all be provided on the night.
