EVENT PROGRAMME

Theme: Aortic Dissection Research - Genetics of Aortic Dissection – Screening

In 2019, our annual flagship event focuses on research into Aortic Dissection, as we award the honour of hosting AD Awareness Day UK to the University of Leicester and take advantage of their fantastic conference facilities at Stamford Court.

Through an informative and interactive programme, structured as a ‘Delphi’ conference, we will learn about the genetics of Aortic Dissection and the possibility of screening for AD risk. As a group of patients, clinicians and academics working together, we will actually design a research study that we expect will provide the evidence necessary for the UK to become the first country in the world to implement a national screening programme for Aortic Dissection risk. It’s a game-changer!
