What to expect?

Lo Tierney (They/Them) will be running a fun and inviting pride signs/placards making workshop. Think bright, beautiful and proud cards that you can stick on your wall, give to a friend or keep for yourself to be proud of!

All signs will come with slogans to colour in and adapt with slogand such as 'gay is ok' and 'trans is rad'! - See some examples below!

A welcoming workshop to kick off the Apertura programme, it's a great way to meet like minded people in your community and learn new skills.

What is Apertura?

APERTURA is our new LGBTQ+ community social, welcoming all queer identities, from all backgrounds. APERTURA is all about making deep human connections, sharing experience, knowledge and compassion. APERTURA is a space where community members can feel safe to share and identify with others in a similar situation to themselves, whilst feeling empowered and inspired by LGBTQ+ led events, workshop and talks to help you through lifes challenges.

Is there an age limit?

This is an 18+ workshop.

Do I have to be part of the LGBTQ+ community to take part?

This project is aimed at people from the LGBTQ+ community but allys are welcome too! If you'd like to bring a friend along, no problem.

Will there be materials provided?

All materials will be provided for the workshop.

How do I get to the venue?

Is there parking available?

There is onstreet free unlimited parking around the venue. If you require an accessible parking spot, please let us know ahead of time.

Are the toilets gender neutral?

Yes, all toilets in the venue are gender neutral.

Is the building accessible?

Yes, the building is accessible. Accessible toilet is located at the back of the building, just ask a member of staff and they can show you where it is.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

A register will be taken at the workshop, it isn't necessary to print your ticket.
