Invitation to attend this free APMP UK December event in Glasgow:
Transforming Proposal Capability
Presenters: Anna Geddes, Rachel Munro & Fiona Higgins
Monday 5th December | Glasgow, Scotland | Morning Session
Transforming Proposal Capability
At the end of 2013, Hymans Robertson, the UK’s leading independent firm of actuaries and consultants, recognised a need to revamp its proposals team - its win rate was low and the cost of bidding was too high. Since then, the team has been completely transformed with new processes, resources and skills. The firm’s win rate has doubled, the cost of bidding has been halved and in 2016, the team was awarded the BESMA award for Sales Support Team of the Year, the first proposals team to win the accolade.
This event will take you on the team’s journey and the key lessons and improvements that made all the difference.
Anna Geddes, Senior Proposal Manager and Team Leader with over 15 years’ experience in bid and proposal management. Anna joined the Hymans team at the start of its transformation journey and has worked with the team to improve the way it approaches proposals.
Rachel Munro, Document Manager has worked for many years as a designer at Hymans Robertson. She moved over to the proposal team just as the changes started. Initially as our proposal designer bringing a breath of fresh air to our proposals. She then moved into a document manager’s role. Rachel won APMP Best Newcomer Award 2015.
Fiona Higgins, Knowledgebase Manager is a qualified information professional with over 12 years’ experience in information management. She joined us in early 2016.
During the past year Fiona’s remit has been to refresh the team’s knowledgebase, a project which won her the APMP Fiona Flower Knowledge Management Award 2016.
