Description

This is an online course which will be webstreamed, on youtube, on 14th, 21st and 28th of January.

The purpose of this course is to introduce scientists to the potential for using mobile apps in their research. Participants will become familiar with the process of creating a hybrid app using the app generator ‘appery’ (appery.io) and will implement these skills through designing their own app. At the end of the course, participants should have an app that can be used to record data which can then pushed to a remote database. No previous programming knowledge will be required.

The course will be run by Karolis Kazlauskis, a research associate based at the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology. Karolis specialises in creating bespoke apps for the CEH for biodiversity monitoring and recording.

Course places are free and unlimited however those interested in attending are required to register their interest and will be sent the youtube link.
