Civic Voice and the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Civic Societies are partnering with the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) and APPG for Local Democracy to host a debate in parliament to explore: Will Neighbourhood Planning deliver the homes the country needs? The debate will also be looking at other approaches which could be used to help get the homes built. The event will be taking place on Tuesday 31st January.
Always interesting and thought provoking debates, the APPG for Civic Societies, chaired by Craig Mackinlay MP, provides a forum for our members’ voices to be heard in parliament. What would you like to ask the Housing and Planning Minister if you could? In true ‘Question Time’ style, submit your top 3 questions to us by Tuesday 24th January and we will select the best to put to the panel.
So far, confirmed speakers for the panel consist of Lord Matthew Taylor of Goss Moor, author of The Taylor Report an 'External Review of Government Planning Practice Guidance', Max Farrell, Partner, Farrells and Civic Voice Design Awards chair judge, Craig Mackinlay MP chair of APPG for Civic Societies, and Scott Mann MP, co chair of APPG on Local Democracy. More to be announced soon!
