About this event

This session will be an introduction to Wound Management, Dressings and Appliances. It will help provide some underpinning knowledge on appliances for Paramedics, Practice Nurses, Prescribers, Physician Associates (not HCAs)

The main aims of this course are:

• An overview of wound care and dressing choice

• To provide an introduction to Continence Appliances

• To Provide an update on the Formularies currently used in Primary Care

• To emphasise the importance of repeat prescribing and quantities

• The skin care algorithm and barrier creams

• Stoma care and the products that patients may need prescribing.

• Tracheostomy/laryngectomy appliances, a basic overview.
