About Your Trainers:
This training is led by experienced ASIST Master Trainers, Chris Wright (The Wellbeing Guy) and Sarah Jones (Uplifted Wellbeing).
Chris brings over 15 years of expertise in wellbeing and mental health, having worked in various settings including education and the third sector. He combines practical experience with a strong foundation in NLP and coaching.
Sarah offers over 30 years of experience in supporting individuals, having worked with organizations like Mind and GDAS. Her deep understanding of mental health challenges makes her a valuable asset to the training team.
Your Safety and Wellbeing:
Please note that ASIST training can be emotionally demanding. While it's a positive and supportive learning environment, it involves:
- Open Discussions: Sharing personal experiences and attitudes about suicide (voluntary).
- Simulated Scenarios: Participating in group activities to practice real-life situations.
- Pair Work: Working with a partner to role-play different scenarios.
It's important to consider your current mental wellbeing. If you're experiencing thoughts of suicide, recent bereavement due to suicide, or significant mental health challenges, please consider if now is the right time for you to attend. ASIST training focuses on developing skills to help others, and is not a therapy space. Please reach out to the organisers if you'd like to discuss prior to bookings.
Other Ways to Pay:
