Apply Yourself - Association of Teachers and Lecturers
Helen Martin and Chris Musgrave from ATL will deliver an informative skills development session.
About the Association of Teachers & Lecturers:
ATL is the union for education professionals. Active in the maintained, independent and post-16 sectors, we use our members' experiences to influence education policy, and we work with government and employers to defend your pay, conditions and career development. From early years to HE, teachers to support staff, lecturers to leaders, we support and represent our members throughout their career.
What will the session cover?
Helen and Chris will take trainees through the application process for teaching posts; looking at adverts, completing an application, preparing for and attending an interview and accepting a post. Mock interviews with plenty of links and resources will assist attendees with further development.
Attending this session will count towards the Plymouth Award (1 hour in the Working Life category).
Please note that this session is only open to current Plymouth University students & recent graduates (<3 years).
