Who's it for: Early-career researchers and academics looking to apply for fellowship in the next few years (not recommended for PhD researchers)

Type of session: Online- high levels of engagement and interaction, active participation likely e.g. breakout rooms, groups discussions. Private space with access to camera and microphone highly recommended to get the best experience

This full-day course, split across two half-days, is all about “Applying for Fellowships”. It has been designed and delivered to help early-career researchers and early-career academics to identify relevant fellowships schemes and to put together a competitive application.

This will be an interactive course that will involve researchers meeting and working in groups. Topics will include:

• Fellowships as a route to being an academic

• Fellowship hunt

• Basics of fellowship writing

• Real time abstract / lay person summary writing and feedback

• Choosing a host and location

• Networking
