Applying for Public Sector Contracts

Have you ever considered applying for council contracts? Would you know where to look, or how to apply?

Bidding for contracts and selling services to public bodies can seem daunting. In this hands-on workshop delivered by Cwmpas and Bridgend County Borough Council, and aimed at small businesses, community organisations and social enterprises, we will walk you through the process.

With grant opportunities continuing to reduce, maybe this is the time to rethink income streams and consider different forms of income generation. This session aims to do just that.

We will help you:

• Recognise strengths you may have that contractors may need
• Introduce you to the application process
• Provide advice and guidance on how to apply
• Find out about current opportunities that you can bid for
• Provide an opportunity to network and ask questions.
• Learn about successful tenders
• How to carryout research, answers tender questions, costing, and checking documents
• Opportunities to form consortia to bid for contracts

Cwmpas invites you to a practical workshop to build your knowledge and skills to tender for contracts with Bridgend County Borough Council and other public bodies. The workshop will be co-delivered by BCBC staff and an experienced bids and tenders writer from Cwmpas.

Mae gwneud cais am gontractau a gwerthu gwasanaethau i gyrff cyhoeddus yn gallu ymddangos yn broses frawychus. Mae’r gweithdy ymarferol hwn wedi cael ei ddarparu gan Cwmpas a Chyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr. Mae’r gweithdy wedi'i anelu at fusnesau bach, sefydliadau cymunedol a mentrau cymdeithasol lle byddwn yn eich tywys drwy'r broses o wneud cais am gontractau’r sector cyhoeddus.

Gyda chyfleoedd grant yn parhau i leihau, efallai mai dyma'r amser i ailfeddwl ffrydiau incwm ac ystyried gwahanol ffyrdd o gynhyrchu incwm. Nod y sesiwn hon ydy dangos i chi sut i wneud hyn.

Bydd y gweithdy'n cael ei gyflwyno ar y cyd gan staff CBSPO ac awdur cynigion a thendrau profiadol o Cwmpas.
