Event description

Description

For all University of Portsmouth Research and Academic Staff

This session is an opportunity to learn more about the role and expectations of Readers and Professors within the University of Portsmouth. Led by Bob Nichol, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), it will outline the procedure and process of applying for promotion, and consider the University’s criteria for promotion. There will be an opportunity to meet recently-appointed Professors and Readers, who will share their experiences and discuss points which could contribute to a good application.

These sessions will be taking place on:

Friday 18 October 1:30pm - 3:00pm

Tuesday 22 October 3:45pm - 5:15pm

Thursday 14 November 9:30am - 11:00am

(Refreshments will be available)

Our commitment to increasing the number of applications from women, disabled staff and BAME colleagues, means we will be actively encouraging attendance from these groups to the sessions.
