About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

The future of outer space is questionable. Military and civilian application through state funding has bridged the gaps of early science fiction and made the Earth a lot smaller. This talk will bring together a number of hypothetical approaches to such applications in order to consider what the future may look like.

Military and commercial activities as to a secondary consideration will be discussed to develop core hypotheses throughout the talk. Through using space law & governance, conclusions will be drawn upon to establish the future application of outer space, and how such can be applied. Weaponizing outer space, defence and other offence measures will all be discussed. Other considerations of geopolitics and international public and private law will underpin this discussion.
