Who should attend? Anyone wanting to know more about the Apprentice Levy including those responsible for finance, HR or training, in particular those who are responsible for compliance, payroll and training.
Why attend? As businesses will no doubt already be aware the Apprenticeship Levy comes into force on 6 April 2017, applying to businesses with a payroll of £3 million or more (any connected businesses will be included in the calculation) it will also affect the way in which smaller business access funding for apprenticeship schemes. The information available to date is at times very confusing and in most cases is provided by training companies who are attempting to sell their specific training to you, we are taking a different approach.
This seminar will guide you through the regulations, giving you clear and easy to understand practical advice on what the levy means for your business ensuring you can make the most of the new system and preventing any unexpected surprises.
Knights will provide you with guidance on the legal relationship with apprentices in addition to practical guidance provided by Martin Ridgeway and Helen Richardson. The seminar will be an interactive workshop covering topics such as whether your business should be considering apprenticeships, a guide to what the new rules mean for you in practical terms, how apprenticeship funding is changing and what this means for your business, and information about the training options available to employers from an independent standpoint.
The event is aimed at any business who has a payroll of £3 million or more (which includes the payroll of any connected companies) and at smaller companies who engage or are considering engaging with apprentices. Primarily aimed at businesses within Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire due to the fact that the event has been funded in part by the D2N2 LEP we are not limiting attendance and welcome any businesses from surrounding areas.
