From April 2017 the Government is proposing to change the way apprenticeship training is funded and the way apprenticeships are delivered.
As a result, all employers with an annual wage bill of £3 million or more will be required to pay a 0.5% levy on wage costs above the £3 million. This levy will be deducted automatically via a company’s PAYE and will be transferred into apprenticeship vouchers for the employer to spend on apprenticeship training.
There will be a mandatory requirement for all NDPBs to take on apprenticeships and we would like to help you make the most of the opportunity to use this levy to your advantage.
Creative & Cultural Skills, the Sector Skills Council covering the Arts, Heritage, Craft and Design sectors would like to help employers prepare for these changes. If you would like to learn more about the apprenticeship reforms, along with how to build meaningful and sustainable apprenticeships into your business please sign up.
