There are more than 100 apprentices at the Council. They work in different areas, such as Housing, ICT, Trades, Business Administration, Youth Work, and Finance. Our apprenticeships are from Level 2 (entry-level) to Level 6 (degree-level).

We have built on the success of our own Hackney Council apprenticeships, and we are now able to expand on our success by working in partnership with local employers who want to employ apprentices.

Hackney Council have over 100 apprentices across a variety of teams and occupations. We attract a lot of very high calibre applicants, more than we can employ ourselves. We support our local business community by offering our services to help bring together this incredible wealth of talented Hackney people with local apprenticeship opportunities.

Over two-thirds of our apprentices progress to employment or higher apprenticeships. We won the Best Large Employer and Recruitment Excellence awards at the National Apprenticeship Awards 2019 for the London region.
