The 11th National Apprenticeship Week 2018 will run from 5 to 9 March 2018.

During the week employers and apprentices from across England will come together to celebrate the success of apprenticeships whilst encouraging even more people to choose apprenticeships as a pathway to a great career.



Join us on International Women’s Day for a panel discussion on apprenticeships and impacts on widening participation, social mobility and the Government’s target to increase females on STEM based subjects. Confirmed panelists include:

Liz Barnes – Staffordshire University Vice-Chancellor

Jenny Conlon - HS & Training Manager, KMF Precision Sheet Metal Ltd

Dr. Joanne Horne - Advanced Practitioner Healthcare Scientist at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust / Chief Scientific Officer WISE Fellow 17-18

Rebecca Rhodes - Senior Associate at the University Vocational Awards Council (UVAC)


We will also be joined by a senior representative of the National Appreniticeship Service and a current STEM apprentice for this event.

The panel will be chaired by Sarah Tudor – Director of Employer Partnerships at Staffordshire University
