Description

The ‘MSP Directive’ (2014/89/EU) requires Member States to take LSI into account when preparing maritime spatial plans. In order to assist EU members states in this endeavour a number of projects have been funded over the past 5 years investigating how best to address LSI when planning in marine and coastal areas. The aim of this workshop is to critically examine the different approaches taken in projects such as MSP-LSI (INTERPLACE), SUPREME, SIMWESTMED, COASTAL, PanBalticScope and SIMAtlantic in order to assess whether certain approaches are more appropriate for common LSI issues with a view to create a framework or matrix which will assist planners in addressing LSI in a practical way.

With regret we have had to postpone this workshop due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

A new date and location for the workshop will be sent in due course. Thank you for your understanding.
