Summary:
This session provides a detailed look at the most popular apps available of AAC, plus some of the lesser known apps.
We also look at accessibility options for iPads and Android tablets.

Aims:

  • To make participants aware of a range of text-to-speech and symbol apps for tablet computers.

  • To demonstrate a range of accessibility solutions for tablet computers for use with clients who may not manage a touch screen.

Delivered by: Gemma Sleman and Laura Webster

Specialist - These courses are aimed at those who work with AAC/EC on a regular basis and have several years experience.

Participants are assumed to have a good prior knowledge of AAC terminology as well as a range of AAC/EC assessments, hardware and software. Participants will likely have some or sole responsibility for AAC/EC provision as apart of their job role.
