Categories
There are 3 categories available to enter - Open, Age Group or Elite.

Open

  • This is for people who want to try out the courses without the pressure of the competition. You can request to be timed while you attempt the courses, but you can also go without being timed. Participants will be set off at 1 minute intervals, unless you request to set off as a pair. You will get to attempt stage 1 and stage 2.

Age Group

  • The exact groups will vary depending on numbers, but the intention is to have Youth (10-15), Adult (16-39) and Masters (40+) for both Male and Female. You will attempt the course one at a time. A time limit for each stage will be given. Everyone will do stage 1 and 2. Then the top 30% (minimum top 3) from each group will go on to attempt stage 3.

Elite

  • This is for people wanting a challenge! This will be split by male and female. Obstacles will have rules, such as only using your hands, in order to make it harder! You will attempt this course one at a time. A time limit for each stage will be given. Everyone will do stage 1 and 2. Then the top 30% (minimum top 3) from each group will go on to attempt stage 3. The elite male and female winners will receive a cash prize

Stages

Stage 1

A video for stage 1 will be released 2 weeks before the event. This will detail the obstacles, time limits and any rules for the elites. For stage 1, if you fall in, swim to the allocated climb up point and continue the course. Keep going until your time runs out. This applies to age group and elites. Your position after stage 1 will determine the run order for stage 2 with the fastest completion going last.

Stage 2

Photos of most obstacles for stage 2 will be released 2 weeks before the event. Some obstacles will be kept as a surprise. A full video will be released 2 days before the event, with time limits and any rules for the elites. The top 30% from each group (minimum top 3), will go on to attempt stage 3. If you fall on this stage, your run will be finished and the last completed obstacle, along with your time, will determine your placement.

Stage 3

This stage will have the most challenging obstacles! The course briefing will take place after stage 2 has finished. If you fall on this stage, your run will be finished and the last completed obstacle, along with your time, will determine your placement. The top 3 from each category will be awarded medals.
