The Fish Site is proud to present a half day of presentations and discussions from senior industry thought leaders on key issues currently facing the global aquaculture industry. The seminar will focus on opportunities for trade and knowledge exchange between the UK and the world beyond Europe.

Running from 1.00pm until 5.00pm

The afternoon will commence with an address from Fergus Ewing MSP, Cabinet Secrtary for the Rural Economy, Folled by topics encompassing the world economic outlook for aquaculture and including presentations from:

  • Melanie Siggs, director of strategic engagements, Global Aquaculture Alliance
  • Kolbjørn Giskeødegård, senior seafood analyst at Nordea Bank
  • Patrick Blow, aquaculture manager with Marks & Spencer
  • Nicki Holmyard, owner, Offshore Shellfish
  • David Little, professor of aquatic resources and development, Sustainable Aquaculture Group, Institute of Aquaculture, University of Stirling
  • Clifford Spencer, goodwill ambassador for the African Union - New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD)

Attendees will be given the opportunity to participate in question and answer sessions with the speakers.
