Event description
Come and learn how to identify and record arable plants!

About this Event

Arable plants are the fastest declining group of plants in the countryside, but they can have enormous benefits for farmland wildlife. The Colour in the Margins project is running a training day on arable plant identification and monitoring aimed at those interested in volunteering. The morning session will be based at Fivehead Village Hall, moving on to Fivehead Arable Fields SSSI (SWT) in the afternoon to put your new ID skills into practice.

Everyone is welcome, from beginners to more experienced botanists. No experience is necessary as full training will be given on the day.

This event is being run as part of the Back from the Brink partnership by Plantlife in collaboration with Somerset Wildlife Trust and Somerset Rare Plants Group.

To book on please register your interest and a member of staff will get in touch with you.
