Guests include:

Brie Code

Brie Code is a speaker, writer, AI programmer, and the CEO and creative director of Tru Luv Media, a video game studio making games with people who don't like games. Previously she was a lead programmer at Ubisoft Montreal on the soft, ethereal game Child of Light and three Assassin's Creed games. Her favourite games are This War of Mine, Skyrim, and The Colonel's Bequest. Brie loves video games but her friends find video games boring, and Brie wants to fix that.

George Buckingham

George Buckenham works at Sensible Object, building Beasts of Balance, a digital physical game about stacking animals in a big pile until they fall over. They were previously technical lead on Mutazione, a gorgeous narrative-led game with Die Gute Fabrik. They have released games independently and in collaboration with people like Keita Takahashi, Martin Hollis, Ricky Haggett and Doug Wilson. They also run Cheap Bots, Done Quick!, a radically accessible Twitterbot platform, and work as a curator with Wild Rumpus and Now Play This.

Albert Elwin

Albert Elwin is a 25 year old Graphics/Engine Programmer based in Scotland. With over 5 years of professional experience Albert has worked on a wide variety of projects, including the critically-acclaimed titles Killbox and Glitchspace. Albert loves working with people; from the small team at Biome Collective, to young people from local schools and community groups. Outside of work Albert dedicates his time to the study and practice of computer graphics.

Billy Thomson

Billy Thomson has been making video games for 22 years now. He landed his first job back in 1996 as a Level Designer at DMA Design - his first game was the original Grand Theft Auto, before moving on to Tanktics and then finally GTA 2. He left DMA and moved to Rage Scotland where he worked on Mobile Forces as a Game Designer / Level Designer. Following that, at Realtime Worlds he was Lead Designer on Crackdown. He then joined Gaz Liddon and Gareth Noyce to form Ruffian Games back in 2008. He has been the Creative Director at Ruffian since that time, with their first release being Crackdown 2 and their most recent release, Fragmental, with a new VR game also in the works.

Robin Baumgarten

Robin Baumgarten is a German Indie Game Developer based in London. He's a serial game jammer who is working on mobile games and strange experimental hardware controllers, and also dabbles in artificial intelligence, photography and travelling. After starting out with mobile games, he is now focusing on making and exhibiting custom hardware games for museums and festivals.

Vaida Plankyte

Vaida enjoys making personal games that focus on narration and the relationship between player/creator; she works with easy-to-use tools to create short-form games about mental health and mundane moments in life. She has exhibited her work at Now Play This and SCREENSHAKE, and regularly speaks at European game development festivals. Vaida is currently running student developer events in Edinburgh, and experimenting with different media and curatorial work.
