These three key words guide Arch Sinfonia’s approach to programming.
The opening concert of Arch Sinfonia’s 10th anniversary year features two female contemporary composers - Jessie Montgomery and Roxanna Panufnik - writing in contrasting styles and conjuring very different atmospheres. These works are will be complemented by two illustrious composers, Mozart and Mendelssohn.
Both Panufnik and Mendelssohn draw inspiration from poetry, which will be shared with the audience.
Our soloist for this concert is flutist Anna Kondrashina, Associate flute at the Philharmonia and Principal flute of Arch Sinfonia. The concert is led by Founder and Conductor Chloé van Soeterstède. Read their biographies on our website.
Please note the concert will last approximately 1h and there will be no interval.
