Event description

Description

Want to use your archaeology collection with schools? Unsure of where to start in the new curriculum landscape? Come and spend a day with Kim Biddulph of Schools Prehistory and Archaeology learning about what teacher's need and want, and how to put that into practice in your museum. Kim has worked closely with teachers and museums for the past four years since the introduction of the new curriculum and can help you make the most of the fascinating objects and stories in your collections for schools.

The workshop will cover:

  • Review of the content of the primary and secondary history curriculum

  • Connecting collections to what teachers want

  • Planning a new resource/workshop

  • Strategies for developing your Prehistory learning offer
