Archaeology 2030 A Strategic Approach for Northern Ireland Moving forward in 2026 – 2030- Online drop-in session, 1-2pm Thursday 18th September 2025

Archaeology 2030 wants your input! We are five years into delivering Archaeology 2030, and this mid-point is the perfect opportunity to review the outstanding recommendations and actions before we move forward to deliver those in 2026-2030. We want you to tell us:

· Do the recommendation and actions still reflect the priorities of the sector?

· Are there emerging issues which should be added?

· Are there items which should be prioritised, or others that are no longer relevant?

· What are the key improvements in the sector that you would like to see, and how can Archaeology 2030 contribute to delivering those?

· Who are we missing? Are there others who could / should be encouraged to participate in Archaeology 2030, who could add value?

· Does the current working group structure support delivery, or are there ways we could do things better? What would encourage or enable you to participate more?

This is your opportunity to shape the recommendations and actions set out in Archaeology 2030’s Project Action Plan for Moving forward in 2026 – 2030, which can be downloaded here Archaeology-2030-Action-plan-for-moving-forward-in-2026-2030-Draft.pdf

You can give us your thoughts and comments in the following ways:

· Email us at Archaeology2030@communities-ni.gov.uk by 10am, Monday 22nd September 2025.

· Join us for an online drop-in session between 1pm and 2pm on Thursday 18th September 2025, where Archaeology 2030’s project co-ordinators are available to answer queries.

· Drop in and talk to us in person between 6pm and 7pm on Thursday 18th September 2025 at 2 Titanic Boulevard Belfast BT3 9HQ. This will be a hybrid event, so you can also drop in online.
