Archaeology Guided Walk: Battle of Dunkeld

Join Kevin Munro of Historic Environment Scotland on a gentle guided walk to uncover the history of the Battle of Dunkeld. Learn about how the topography, terrain and its unusual urban setting had a role to play in events. Hear about the impact of the battle on the town, and the battle’s key players as you walk around historic Dunkeld. The walk will start and end at Dunkeld Cathedral, taking in significant elements of the battlefield such as Gallows Hill and the site of Dunkeld House.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
This walk will begin from the main entrance to the grounds of Dunkled Cathedral. There is limited parking at the Cathedral itself, but there are two large public car parks nearby.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You don't need to bring a printed ticket but proof of the name used to make the booking is required.
