About this event
Ramsey Ravens is a well established community club.
If you have tried archery and decided you'd like to get more involved and have thought about joining a club then this is the session for you.
No equipment or previous experience is needed.
Each session is run by qualified coaches and experienced archers. The primary aims of the course are:
- To provide an introduction to the sport of target archery.
- To ensure that you have the minimum level of safety knowledge & skills required to join any Archery GB affilliated club.
- To give you the confidence to take up the sport and to shoot alongside more experienced archers.
- To have fun and to learn something new.
*** Please note that this course will run over a series of three Saturdays. Each session starts at 09:30 and ends at 12:30 ***
All three sessions must be attended, completed and passed before a safety certificate will be issued.
Dates:
Sat 4th October
Sat 11th October
Sat 18th October
A catch-up session may be added if one or more people are unable to attend one of the planned sessions due to illness etc.
You will learn how to stay safe on the range, how to set up your bow and the equipment, and all the basics to qualify you as an archer who is ready to join a club.
You will also get the chance to shoot lots of arrows and have fun too!
This course will introduce you to all bow types recognised by Archery GB. If you have an idea of what you might like to shoot let our coaches know.
A certificate will be issued at the end of the course to confirm that you have completed a full course and now have the basic skills to allow you to join an archery club. Subject to club numbers, we would hope that you would consider joining our club.
