Event description
ArcheryGB Development Coach Course (previously Level 2).

About this event

COVID-19. ArcheryGB has suspended all L2/Development coaching courses until further notice. This course will still run (with a 2021 course number) - but probably not until late 2021 at the earliest. If you are interested please book onto this course, as it will give me an indication of serious intent - but

  • Do NOT send money!
  • Do not send in any forms!
  • Do not turn up at the venue without explicit instructions!

We will contact all people who have registered, once we have news, with the next steps to take.

Archery GB Development Coach education course 2021. This used to be called Level 2. This is a course to train archery Archery Development Coaches, not to teach people archery: it is open to all current ArcheryGB Licensed Level 1 coaches. Please book in here to express your interest & reserve a place.

This is a "New Style" Level 2 course, using the syllabus announced by ArcheryGB in 2019.

Once you have registered, the Course Admin will email the application form (and other relevant documents) to you. Please complete the application form and post it to The Course Administrator (details on the form) with the registration fee of £450 (£225 for funded CWAA archers) within 14 days of registration. Your place will not be guaranteed until CWAA receive your payment. Cheques should be made payable to County of Worcester Archery Association: they will be held here until there are 6 candidates and Archery GB validate the course. Payment can also be made online using details Lloyd's Bank, sort = 30-96-12 account = 02001014 using the course number (20L203) as the reference. Please email immediately to inform us that you have made payment.

WORCESTERSHIRE ARCHERS PLEASE NOTE: Archers affiliated through CWAA will have the full cost of this course met by County of Worcester Archery Association (subject to terms and conditions, detailed on the CWAA Bursary form).

Please do NOT post anything to the Scout Hut - it will almost certainly get lost. The correct address is on the application form!

The course runs over six full days - three weekends (12/13 September, 17/18 Oct, 28/29 Nov). Attendance at all three sessions (6 days) is mandatory. Assessment is on 16/01/2021. If you cannot make this date it is possible to assess with another course elsewhere. (Only if a suitable one is available within 12 months of the first session of this course. Level 2 assessments are not common.) All sessions are 09:00 - 17:00 unless otherwise arranged by the tutor.

Don't forget to check if there are bursaries for this course.

Empowering Coaches - if there is space, then ArcheryGB licensed coaches can attend on Day#1 for the "Empowering Coaches" module. Register in the normal way (there is a dedicated ticket for this). Priority for places will be given to people doing the full course, so don't pay until requested by the admin.

PLEASE NOTE: the administration of this course will be done primarily by email & via a private Facebook group. When you register for the course you will need to provide an email address that you monitor frequently, and you should reply promptly to any questions therein. If you choose not to join the Facebook group then you will miss out on a lot of useful information.

Cancellations & refunds:

  • If the course is cancelled prior to "activation" (e.g. not reaching the number of candidates mandated as "viable") all candidates will receive a 100% refund. OTHERWISE:-
  • Candidates withdrawing from the course voluntarily – but who do not endanger the viability of the course by their withdrawal – will receive a refund of their fees, less any expenses that have been incurred by CWAA processing their application (e.g. Central Course Fees payable to ArcheryGB).
