KOFMA ( Kensington Olympia Festival of Music and the Arts) is delighted to welcome Caroline MacMillan.
Caroline has lived in west London most of her life and for several years has been guiding walks in the area. With the interesting and historical facts she has meticulously reached she brings to life those who have lived in and around Brook Green over the centuries. Her walks are informal and informative and, as she always says, ‘to be enjoyed’.
Monday 10th October, 11am
Northern Brook Green
Starting at St Matthew’s Church, this walk takes you past the homes and studios of the sculptors, engravers, print makers and fabric designers who established their studios around Brook Green. The area was once well known for its laundries and also for the delicious smell of freshly baked cakes and bread from one of the largest local employers. Every road in this delightful part of London has a story to tell which Caroline will share with you.
