About this event

White City Campus is Imperial’s major new campus in west London, bringing together world-class researchers, businesses and partners from academia and the local community to work, share ideas and turn cutting-edge research into benefits for society.

Join us for a thought-provoking panel discussion with architects from Allies and Morrison and Imperial academics who are working together to build a vision for an open, welcoming and permeable campus fit for a 21st century university in London.

Imperial College London speakers: Professor Neil Alford, Associate Provost; Professor Deborah Ashby, Director of the School of Public Health; and Professor Majid Ezzati, Chair in Global Environmental Health.

Allies and Morrison speakers: Paul Eaton, Partner and team lead, White City Masterplan; Billy Choi, Director and architect, Sir Michael Uren Hub; Laurie Hallows, Director and architect, School of Public Health; and Ruth Treacher, Director and interior designer on the Invention Rooms project.

Moderated by Sowmya Parthasarathy, Urban Design Leader, Arup

The discussion will uncover the key ingredients necessary to develop state-of-the-art multidisciplinary research facilities for a university pursuing a research agenda advancing care, with a particular focus on Imperial’s new School of Public Health set to open in 2023. It will also look at how to design engaging spaces for a local and diverse community to come together with students and staff to work and collaborate.

This event is part of this year's London Festival of Architecture.
