David Knight will present his critique of the current planning system and make a series of proposals for its future, with a focus on how the general public accesses planning expertise and information. The talk will include a presentation of 'Building Rights', a new web resource which aims to increase the accessibility of planning knowledge, reconnect people and planning, and increase spatial justice.
David Knight is a director of DK-CM, an architecture and research studio based in Bethnal Green, London. He is a tutor at the Royal College of Art, where he is also undertaking a PhD, and co-author of 'SUB-PLAN: A Guide to Permitted Development' (2009).
