About this event

  • 2 hours

Archives are not ideal places to take photographs, with low light, sensitivity to noise and flashlight, and often no means of supporting a camera or your subject effectively. This course will guide you through the pitfalls and problems, and provide advice on taking sharp, clear photographs of your primary sources, without annoying your archivist.

An understanding of the principles of photography (for example through the Photography Basics Workshop) is useful but not essential.

Training workshops are for University of Exeter staff and postgraduates, but interested undergraduate and postgraduate taught students are very welcome to email digitalhumanities@exeter.ac.uk and any spare places will be allocated to you nearer the time.

Organised by
