The aim of the ASSET training course is to provide archive sector professionals with skills necessary to contribute to achieving the BFI Film Forever strategic priority 'Unlocking the UK's Film Heritage'. This course is created by KES International. This module is called Monetising Digital Content and will be taught by Paul Maidment, Director of Kite Media. Kite Media consultancy was founded by Paul Maidment in January 2015 following a 20-year career at BBC Worldwide, during which time he ran a number of successful businesses and honed his leadership, sales and business development skills across a number of market sectors.
Indicative Topics for Module 5 of 5:
- Business models for archive exploitation
- Identifying opportunities arising from digital archives
- Innovative commercial uses for archive material, chargeable outlets and uses
- Case studies and examples of success and failure
