This workshop will give an introduction to working with Arduino. No previous programming knowledge or experience with electronics is needed! During the session you will learn to make your very own version of The Clapper which enables lights to be turned on or off through clapping!
What will you do and learn?
You will learn what Arduino is and get a taste of what it can do. You will be introduced to computer programming whilst also learning the basics of electricity and circuits. You will learn how to turn LEDs on and off through code whilst also working on a simple interactive lighting project using a piezo.
What do you need to already know?
You don’t need any previous experience with programming or electronics. We’ll be starting from the very beginning!
What do you need to bring?
You will need to bring your own laptop with the Arduino software installed on it. To download this please go to the Arduino website: http://www.arduino.cc/
What will be available during the workshop?
To keep you hydrated and fed, beer and popcorn will be available during the workshop.
