This time we’re ‘Droppin Science’ and asking ‘Are Algorithms In Tune With Music?' This is an exclusive and transformative evening event, which will give you an opportunity to hear leading music industry executives and experts discuss their views about the current role of algorithms in the music industry.
This event will host the first public screening of Nation of Billions & British Science Association’s new collaborative short film. The docu-film features DJ Semtex exploring the role of algorithms and how they are used in the music industry by talking to data scientists and industry executives including MistaJam, Jamz Supernova, Austin Daboh, Ed Newton-Rex and Alex McLean.
We’re joined on the 28th of March with three of the featured guests from the film who will join the panel discussion and Q&A. Nation of Billions Co-Founder DJ Semtex will be joined by Radio 1Xtra’s Jamz Supernova and Jukedeck Founder Ed Newton-Rex.
The conversation will be opened to the audience for a Q&A session so you can engage in a lively and exciting discussion.

Jamz Supernova is a tastemaker, DJ and Radio 1Xtra presenter. Jamz curates her own club nights, as well as including warm-ups for DJ Semtex and Vic Mensa, as well as making her Glastonbury debut in June 2015.
Ed Newton-Rex is Founder & CEO of UK start-up Jukedeck – the music composing AI Company, creating a royalty free AI driven music library. Ed gained a double-starred First in Music from Cambridge and is also a published composer.
