Are appraisals a thing of the past? If so what comes next?
Thu 29 June 2017, 18:45 – 20:30 BST
One of the most topical L&D issues of recent months has been the discussion surrounding replacing appraisals with more efficient methods.
The annual performance appraisal has been a cornerstone of many organizations for many years, but with well-known organizations such as Accenture, Deloitte, River Island, GE and Adobe having publicly scrapped the annual appraisal in favour for a more regular and continuous feedback approach, does this mark the end of the appraisal and if so what comes next?
There will be a facilitated discussion sharing the latest views and thinking with regards to moving on from appraisals, as well as an opportunity to share your views on whether appraisals are fit for purpose within your organization and to hear what others are doing in their organizations.
Come along if you are interested to find out more about the latest thinking, what others are doing and how you might change the way you do appraisals within your organization.
There will also be an opportunity to network with your fellow HR professionals and get to know one another as we continue to re-build the Walton and Weybridge CIPD group.
