About this Event

This event is being run jointly with the Ecology and Conservation Studies Society as part of their Gardening for Wildlife series with a focus on best practice and good applied science.

The contributions of citizen scientists have helped to develop our understanding of how and why birds use our gardens, as well as revealing the opportunities and risks associated with the garden environment. In this talk, Mike will explore the role that gardens play in the ecology of many wild bird populations, delivering insights into their behaviour, changing status and what we can do to positively affect the wildlife that lives alongside us.
