Get the facts at this second free webinar and make up your own mind about the COVID vaccine
About this event
On Monday 1st February, between 6pm and 7.30pm, residents of Brent will have the opportunity to attend a second webinar about the COVID-19 vaccination.
The webinar will aim to build trust amongst those in the community who are showing signs of hesitancy when it comes to having the vaccine. This will be achieved by outlining the facts, addressing all the pertinent issues and explaining the science.
The webinar will be hosted by Cllr Robert Johnson, and will begin with a welcome from local MP Dawn Butler, who will provide some context around the issue of health inequalities. Dr John Licorish (Brent Council’s Deputy Director of Public Health), will make a presentation about the impact of COVID-19 on the people of Brent and the key facts about the vaccine.
A panel including representatives from communities in the borough, clinicians and professors will help to explain how the virus affects people’s immune system, the science behind the vaccine, and discuss issues of trust and doubt that may be making you hesitant to get the jab when the opportunity arises.
Listen to the facts, ask the questions you want answers to and make up your own mind based on what you hear.
Register for this event and we will send you a link to the Zoom meeting on the afternoon of Monday 1st February.
