Event description

Description

Making Tax Digital is arriving in April 2019 and will affect all VAT registered businesses with a taxable turnover above the VAT threshold of £85,000. If you currently prepare your VAT returns by hand or on a computer spreadsheet you will need to make changes.

Our free breakfast seminar will fully explain what MTD entails, meaning you can ensure your business has a plan in place ready for when it arrives.

Seminar Schedule

  • 8.am arrival for breakfast ready for an 8.30am start
  • An intro to Making Tax Digital
  • The benefits of cloud accounting using Xero
  • Break for coffee at 10am
  • How Morris & Co can help get set for MTD
  • Networking and finish

Please register using the button.

For businesses with a turnover above the VAT threshold and all unincorporated businesses, partnerships or charities you will have to start keeping digital records and submit digital VAT returns electronically via new API-Enabled products (meaning a set of clearly defined methods of communications between various software products) and NOT via VAT online from your first VAT return period on or after 1st April 2019.

That means if you are currently using desktop software like Sage or Quickbooks, running your business via an Excel spreadsheet or perhaps not even keeping digital records at all, you should be making the switch to a cloud-based platform- and the time to do it is now.

As Xero migration certified accountants and Gold partners, we will run through the software to show how it can work practically day-to-day and reduce the manual inputting of data.

If you'd like more information about the event please email Mitch on mxf@moco.co.uk or call 0151 348 8400.
